VFX FRANCE is powered by the CNC and Film France
Created by the law of 25 October 1946, the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC) is a public administrative organization, set up as a separate and financially independent entity.
The centre comes under the authority of the ministry of culture and communication and Frédérique Bredin is its president.
The principal missions of the CNC are :
- support for the film, broadcast, video, multimedia and technical industries,
- promotion of film and television for distribution to all audiences
- preservation and development of the film heritage

Film France is the first stop for foreign production companies and individuals preparing to film, to post-produce or to do VFX in France.
Film France also provides information about coproduction opportunities in France and assists foreign producer who want to apply for the TRIP (Tax Rebate for International Production).
Thanks to its network of 40 local Film Commissions, Film France provides assistance with contacting appropriate agencies regarding immigration/work permits and filming permits, as well as information regarding labour rates, studio facilities, post-production facilities and suppliers.
Film France is a stat-funded agency supported by the CNC (Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée).
The Ficam (Federation of Industries of Cinema, Audiovisual and Multimedia) presided by Didier Diaz is a professional organization gathering 150 companies the activities of which cover the whole range of image and sound technical know-how. Proactive, the Ficam represents, promotes and defends national and international interests of the Technical and Creation Industries. The works of the FICAM gave birth in these last few years to various measures in favour of technical industries, especially within the framework of technological evolutions and innovation
